Practice Areas

Mr. Jones practices as a trial lawyer in litigation matters, focusing primarily on commercial, business, real estate, and agricultural disputes. He also handles insurance and coverage matters.

Previous Work

Prior to going to law school and after college, Mr. Jones worked briefly as a correctional officer and a deputy sheriff before a long career in business. He joined the California State Automobile Association-Interinsurance Bureau in 1985. For twenty years with the California State Automobile Association Mr. Jones worked as a claims adjuster, examiner, trainer and supervisor. Nearly half of his time was spent in the training department where he taught claims handling, policy and coverage evaluation, investigation procedures, appraisals, and customer service.

After being admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Jones was an associate with Ciummo & Associates where he practiced as a criminal defense attorney representing indigent defendants in the felony courts.

Community Involvement

Mr. Jones is a past President of the San Joaquin College of Law Alumni Association and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. He also currently serves as the Chairperson for the San Joaquin Agricultural Law Review Editors Emeritus, a group of past law review editors who provide support and guidance to the Law Review.

Hobbies

Mr. Jones enjoys travel, reading, live theater, music and is an avid ice hockey fan.
